Q: How can I purchase a mug?
A: Mugs are available exclusively on release days through my website MysticalCrow.com, which is powered by Etsy. These releases operate on a first-come, first-served basis, and mugs often sell out within minutes. Release dates are announced on my website and in my Instagram bio (@themysticalcrow). Don’t worry if you miss out—new releases typically happen every 2–3 weeks.
Q: Why is your website closed?
A: If my website is closed, it means I’ve sold out from the last release and am preparing for the next update. A message on the site will either announce the reopening date or indicate that the next update is being planned.
Q: Why didn’t I see any mugs on your website?
A: My pottery sells out very quickly. Mugs are only listed on release days, and they often sell out within minutes. I create pottery weekly and aim to have releases at least once a month.
Q: Can I pre-order or pre-pay for a mug?
A: Unfortunately, I don’t offer pre-orders or pre-payment. To keep things fair, mugs are only available during scheduled release days.
Q: Can I order a custom mug or request specific designs?
A: I’m not currently accepting custom orders. Each piece I create comes from my own inspiration, allowing my creativity to flow freely. While I don’t take requests, I hope to make something you’ll love!
Q: Can I see the mugs before the release date?

Q: Are the mugs functional, or just for display?
A: They’re absolutely functional! Each mug is hand-thrown on a pottery wheel, made with ceramic, and glazed with food-safe materials. Many include 22k gold accents for a magical touch. They’re meant to be enjoyed, whether for drinking or display!
Q: Are the designs one-of-a-kind?
A: Yes! Every piece is unique, but I do revisit popular design concepts like lavender moons, death’s head moths, and mushrooms. Even within the same theme, no two mugs are identical.
Q: How much do the mugs cost, and how big are they?
A: Prices vary depending on size and detail, ranging from $80 to $400+. Sets with matching dishes or spoons typically cost $250–$299. Each mug is handcrafted and unique, so sizes and details vary.
Q: Why are your mugs so expensive?
A: My mugs are one-of-a-kind art pieces. Each piece contains HOURS of details, couldrons, moons, florals and foliage. I strive to really make them intricate and magical. The price reflects the time, materials (including 22k gold), and energy that go into each one, as well as the cost of running a home studio and kiln. When you purchase from me, you’re supporting my small business and family.
Q: Can I use them in the microwave or dishwasher?
A: Due to the 22k gold details, these mugs are not microwave-safe. Handwashing is highly recommended to protect the crystals and intricate designs. Hot water should not be used around the crystal as it may weaken the adhesive. If this does happen, please write to me and I will gladly send you some more adhesive.
Q: Are the crystals real? Will they fall off?
A: Yes, the crystals are real and adhered with a special ceramic glue. While they’re durable, they must be handled with care—wash by hand and avoid unstable drying racks. If a crystal comes loose, reach out to me, and I’ll gladly assist you.
Q: Do you ship internationally?
A: Yes! My shop is set up for worldwide shipping, though rates depend on the destination. Shipping typically costs $15–$28 USD, calculated during checkout.
Q: Where should I shop on release day—your website or Etsy?
A: Both options work, as my website is powered by Etsy. However, many customers find that my website link (MysticalCrow.com) loads faster than Etsy, so I recommend using it for the best chance at securing a mug.
Q: Why did the mug in my cart disappear during checkout?
A: Items in your cart aren’t reserved until payment is completed. If a mug disappears, it means another customer checked out faster. You won’t be charged for items you don’t successfully purchase.
Q: What if the website freezes on release day?
A: If this happens, I sincerely apologize. Website performance is managed by Etsy, and any issues are beyond my control. I recommend refreshing your connection or contacting Etsy for assistance.
Q: Do you make other items besides mugs?
A: Yes! I create candles, herb kits, witchy tools, paintings, shirts, and more magical items.
